Gators take a commanding win over John Milledge to extend win streak

The Bulloch Academy Gators extended their winning streak with a decisive 36-6 victory over John Milledge on Friday night. Both teams struggled defensively in the first quarter, but once BA scored their first touchdown, they became unstoppable.

First Half

Bulloch Academy didn't take long to get on the board. #1 Shamar Jenkins scored their first touchdown with a 14-yard rushing play with 3 minutes left in the first quarter, followed by a extra-point kick from #16 Case Woodrum.

The Gators continued their momentum into the second quarter, where #4 Ike Hubbard rushed for a 63-yard touchdown after Bulloch Academy opened up the middle of the field for him. This made the score 14-0.

Bulloch Academy maintained their lead, adding a third touchdown from Danye Garvin. The Gators kept John Milledge from scoring for the remainder of the first half, leading 21-0.

Second Half

Both Bulloch Academy and John Milledge went scoreless in the third quarter. However, the Gators secured their first turnover of the game 6 minutes into the quarter.

John Milledge also committed a turnover to start the final quarter of play, leading to Bulloch Academy's fourth touchdown of the game, scored by quarterback Sam Hubbard. This increased the lead to 27-0.

John Milledge managed to score their first and only touchdown of the game with a 31-yard pass to #8 Cole Vining. Despite this, the Gators' defense has now only allowed 20 points over their last three games.

Bulloch Academy added to their lead with a mid-quarter touchdown from Jenkins, making the final score 35-6 after an extra point kick from Woodrum. This touchdown secured the Gators' fifth win of the season, keeping them undefeated.

The Bulloch Academy Gators are back in action next Friday, September 20, against the Strong Rock Christian Patriots, who are currently 3-1 for the season. The game will take place at Bulloch Academy at 7:30 p.m.
