Olson Dean Reddick, Jr., also known as Buster, passed away on April 23, 2024, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, GA. He was 66 years' of age.
Buster was born and raised in Screven County, graduating from Screven County High School in 1976. He was a former Boy Scout and a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He was employed for many years at Macuch Steel in Augusta, GA, and later for Brody instruments in Statesboro, GA. He loved the outdoors, tending to his plant garden and doting on his many pet dogs throughout the years.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents Olson Dean Reddick, Sr., Marilyn S. Reddick and his sister Linda J. Reddick.
Survivors include his sisters and their spouses, Robin (Grady) Evans of Newington, and Tina (David) Long of Sylvania; nieces and nephews, Erin (Clark) O'Barr of Sylvania, Emily (Lee) Williams of Newington, Hilary Evans of Guyton, Amanda (Matt) Green of Sylvania; great-nieces and nephews, Luke O'Barr, Levi O'Barr, Adalyn O'Barr, Jayne Thompson and Baker Green, all of Sylvania, GA.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:00am in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral home, Sylvania. The family will receive following the interment at the cemetery.
Interment will be followed at the Screven County Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Bill Kent of Memorial Baptist Church will officiate the services.
Pallbearers will be Grady Evans, David Long, Clark O'Barr, Lee Williams, Matt Green, Luke O'Barr, and Levi O'Barr.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Memorial Baptist Church, P.O. Box 491, Sylvania, GA 30467.
