Isaac Jason McDuffie

Mr. Isaac Jason McDuffie, age 44, died peacefully at home on Thursday May 2, 2024. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County attended Marvin Pittman Laboratory School and was a 1998 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. Isaac was a star baseball player and was inducted into the Southeast Bulloch Athletic Hall of Fame. Following high school, Isaac attended West Georgia University and Ogeechee Technical College. Over the years he was employed with Brown and Sons, Mock Mechanical, Georgia Southern University, Erickson, and most recently, Daiken. He enjoyed working with Freedom Through Recovery and was a supporter of Donate Life America. Isaac received a heart transplant in 2017. In addition to baseball, Isaac loved being a “girl dad” and supported his daughters’ softball with all his heart and soul. He really liked to fish and will be remembered for his positive attitude, his unconditional love and his kind, giving spirit. His name means laughter and he brought joy to anyone who knew him. Isaac had a passion for music. It defined his life in many ways.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry McDuffie, and a daughter, Kelsey McDuffie.

Surviving are a daughter, Kailyn McDuffie of Brooklet; mother, Elaine Hendrix McDuffie of Brooklet; a brother and sister in law, Josh and Melissa McDuffie of Statesboro, a nephew and niece, Dylan and Caroline McDuffie, both of Statesboro, and a half-brother, Shawn Corbett, Statesboro. Also surviving is the mother of his daughters, Crystal McDuffie of Statesboro. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Joey Fennell officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tory Anderson, Tray Davis, Reese Lively, Rheann Davis, John Hendrix, Stevie McDaniel, and Steve McDaniel.
