It is with the heaviest hearts and utter sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Lisa Ann Marie Herter on Monday, October 23, 2023 in Statesboro, GA. She is 35 years young.
Born March 1, 1988 in Detroit, MI, Lisa grew up in Roseville, MI before moving with her family to Warner Robins, GA in 2004. In her adult life, she lived in several cities throughout Georgia and in Anderson, SC, but Michigan would always be the place she called home.
Lisa lived a life full of emotion, vulnerability, and authenticity. She led her life with love, a love that didn’t have to be earned but was given freely. Never holding back on her feelings, she frequently expressed her love to family and friends. She genuinely cared for everyone she knew, no one was considered “too distant” for her to reach out and check-in.
She leaves behind her parents, Sue and Larry Herter; boyfriend Sawyer Davis; brothers, Larry Herter Jr. and Nick [Tiffany] Herter-Munley; nieces, Nina Herter and Adelyne Herter-Munley; nephew, Larry R. Herter; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Herter; Grandparents, Lawrence and Patricia Hartz, Carl and Janet Herter; Uncle Bob Ploucha; cousins, Keith and Sheila Young.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11:00am at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro, GA with Pastor Joe Eason officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Cards and condolences can be sent to Sue and Larry Herter, 169 Old Groveland Rd., Pembroke, GA 31321.
