Linda Lou Henry, who was affectionately known as (Yo-yo) from her family and friends was born January 3, 1954, in Register, Ga to the parentages of the late Hubert Henry, Sr. and the late Mrs. Dorothy Sarratt and she was raised by Mr. James Washington and Juanita Washington
Linda L. Henry attended the Bulloch County School System and graduated with the class of 1972 from Marvin Pittman High School. She relocated to Bronx, New York for a short period of time, only to return to Statesboro to raise her son and continue to have and raise her other children.
Linda L. Henry is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Brenda Henry, Shirley Henry, Dorothy Brown, and Lorraine Henry. Also she is preceded by a grandson James Henry (JJ), and several uncles and aunts.
Linda L. Henry is survived by her children Samuel Edward Henry (AnnSylvia ) Metter, GA, Lynette Henry, State of Missouri, Jonathan Lambert, Statesboro, Georgia, and LaVenus Perkins, Statesboro, GA. Grandchildren: Daviaus Holloway, ShaKendra Holloway, Leslie Henry, Chelsea Royals and O’Neshawa Henry. One sister: Caretha Henry Mikell (Herbert) of Melbourne, Florida, brothers Jerry Washington, Danny Henry, Robert Smit, all of Statesboro and Curtis Smith (Kim) of Huntsville, Alabama. She is also survived by a host of great-grands, one auntie, nephews and nieces, cousins and friends who are missing her.
A memorial service for Ms. Henry, will be held, 11 A.M., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Steep Hill Missionary Baptist Church 4337 Highway 121Cobbtown, GA 30420
