Mr. Gary Myer Nasworthy, 62, of Sylvania, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born on May 1, 1962, in Savannah, GA to the late Robert Nasworthy and Bonnie McGlowen Nasworthy. Gary worked in car sales most of his life, being employed with Matt Gay Chevrolet, Keith Lee, and Southeastern Auto Sales. He also worked at Timken and then for King Finishing in textile manufacturing and lately at Georgia Transformer. Gary enjoyed Christmas and playing golf, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Freeman Nasworthy, and his parents.
He is survived by his children, Chris Nasworthy, and Stormee (Michael) Newton, all of Sylvania; and his grandchildren, Emaleigh Nasworthy, Makenzie Newton, and Micah Newton.
Pallbearers will be Butch Volf, Tom Nigg, Robin Dean, Jack Pruett, Drew Volf, and David Cannon.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Joiner Anderson Screven Chapel.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Charlie Cooper officiating.
