David Dewayne Davis

David Dewayne Davis “Triple D”, age 46 of Statesboro, Ga, transitioned the morning of October 31, 2024, after a long illness.


David had a great sense of humor, he was friendly, humble, compassionate and loving. He was a hardworking man and dedicated to his family and friends.

 
David received his formal education in the Bulloch County School System and was a graduate of the Portal High School class of 1996.

 
David began working at the age of sixteen. He attended Georgia Southern University for two years, and Ogeechee Technical College where he earned a diploma in Electrical Construction and Maintenance. He gained certifications in Flat Shield Welding, and he was a certified Industrial Mechanical Technician.

 
David worked at Walmart Distribution for twenty plus years and Lift One for two and a half years.
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, David entered rest at his residence. He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Davis.


He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving mother, Gloria Davis; two brothers, Stanley Davis (Doreen), and Mark Davis, both of Statesboro, GA; three sisters, Jennifer Myles (Everard), and Amy Davis, both of Statesboro, GA, Mandy Murphy (Benjamin), of Evans, GA, Beverly Davis-Jemison (Kerry)of Stone Mountain, GA; three nephews, Hassan Davis, Jamal Jackson, both of Stone Mountain, GA, and Evareion Myles of Statesboro, GA; two nieces, Brianna and Brooklyn Murphy of Evans, GA; one great nephew, Zachary Stevens of Bronx, New York; three treasured friends, April Cooper of Statesboro, GA, Shaun Holloway of Portal, GA, and Stace Ethridge of Portal, Ga. David is also loved by a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.


A private walk-through viewing and visitation will be held at Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.

 
At the request of David Dewayne “Triple D” Davis, he will be cremated.

 
The Davis family wishes to thank all the nurses and caregivers at Ogeechee Area Hospice for the love, care and support given to David and his family during this challenging time. They’re very grateful for all that you did for David!
