Mr. Clinton Edward Peel,79, of Sylvania, GA, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

Clinton was born in Sylvania, GA on February 7, 1945, to the late Emmitt and Zelma Peavy Peel. Clinton served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his service he worked for Planters Telephone for forty years and he served as a member of VFW Post 7116, and was also a member of Oak Grove Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Clinton also enjoyed spending time with his furry companion, Cole.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Peel.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary B. Peel of Sylvania; daughters, Tracy (Dave) Kris, of Locust Grove, GA, Wendy (Randy) Hubbard, of Grovetown, GA, and Tammy Plummer, of Winston-Salem, NC; a son, Chad Willis, of Sylvania; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Ethan Bragg, Nolan Bragg, Trenton Bragg, Christopher Bragg, Matthew Bragg, Darrell Potter, and Jeff Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be past and current employees of planter’s telephone.

The family requests that donations be made to a charity of one’s own choice.

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Joiner Anderson Screven.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
