Mr. Don Carlos Bragg, 84, of Sylvania, Georgia, passed away at his residence on Friday, September 13, 2024, under the care of Regency SouthernCare Hospice Services.
Carlos was born in 1940 to the late Nora Dell and Albert Hamilton “Bo” Bragg in Sylvania. He was employed delivering fuel and other petroleum products to farmers, service stations, and homes in Screven and surrounding counties for nearly 50 years. He was also an accomplished gardener and shared his harvests over the years with family and neighbors. He was a member of Bay Branch Baptist Church.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Moore Bragg; his brother, Wilbur Carol Bragg; and his sisters June Marlene Bragg and Betty Bragg Lee.
He is survived by his son, Marty C. Bragg of Sylvania; his daughter, Lyn B. (Dennis) Rhodes of Perkins, Georgia; grandchildren, Zachry (Melissa) Rhodes and Ashlee Rhodes, both of Statesboro, Georgia; sisters, Jackie B. Hill, Althea Bragg, and Dorothe (Bill) Garrett, all of Sylvania; several nieces and nephews; and devoted caregiver, Rhonda Cook of Sylvania.
Graveside services will be held at the Screven County Memorial Cemetery on September 16, 2024, at 10:00 am, with the Rev. Blake Hicks officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Bay Branch Baptist Church, P.O. Box 260, Sylvania, Georgia.
