The rummage sale benefits PPUMC missions and Altrusa's literacy initiatives.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 5th, when Altrusa of Statesboro and Pittman Park UMC will host a community Rummage Sale at the church fellowship hall from 8am to 11am. This event promises a fantastic opportunity to snag amazing deals on a variety of items.

There will be books, toys, electronics, furniture, plants, costume jewelry, puzzles, games, baskets, tools, china, crystal, wall art, appliances, lamps, holiday items, kitchen items, and more. The organizers are accepting donations and need help before and during the sale.

Here are some ways to help:

  • Spread the word about the sale and plan to shop.
  • Start collecting items to donate for the sale. Starting at noon on March 30, we will be accepting items at the church. Larger items can be picked up by volunteers after March 30.
  • Donate medium-sized boxes for shoppers to use during the sale.
  • Volunteer on the day of the sale and/or volunteer to help set up the sale the week before from 9am to 7pm. Volunteers will receive access to a special preview sale on Friday evening.

The community is invited to "shop, support, and spread the love" at this upcoming sale. Beyond the thrill of the hunt for unique treasures, attendees can feel good knowing their purchases will contribute to worthy causes.

Proceeds from the Rummage Sale will directly benefit The Altrusa Clubs' Literacy Program, dedicated to improving literacy within the community, and Pittman Park UMC’s mission efforts, supporting their outreach initiatives.

The organizers shared that "every treasure you find helps make a difference!"

Don't miss this chance to find something special while making a positive impact.

PPUMC is located at 1102 Fair Road in Statesboro. For more information on the sale or how you can help, contact the church office at (912) 681-3213 or [email protected].
