The 21+ show will feature comedy followed by country music for just $25.

Statesboro, get ready for some laughs and a great time! Join Dancing with the Statesboro Stars (DWTSS) Team Duvall/Schwertfeger on Friday, October 11th, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm at The Blue Room for the inaugural “Comedy for a Cause: A Night of Laughter and Lyrics.”

The show will feature TikTok famous comedians Britany Smith, Justin Stagner, and Amanda Meadows—all in one place, bringing together some of the South's biggest comedic acts. The fun doesn’t stop there; stay tuned for a musical performance by Ben Bates and Cade Beecher after the show.

Tickets are just $25 ($30 on the day of the show) and are on sale now. Please note that the show is 21+.

Statesboro Star Ashley Duvall spills the tea on how this show came together.

"When I started the DWTSS journey, I aimed to do something big and out of the ordinary—my motto in life is go big or go home," Duvall shared. "I envisioned a variety show from the beginning and reached out to many people, finally connecting with local Bulloch County comedian and TikTok star Britany Smith."

"Britany loved the idea but was hesitant about performing for a whole show, despite her past experience with stand-up. I shared my own fears about dancing on stage in November for DWTSS, highlighting that I was stepping out of my comfort zone to raise money for Safe Haven and awareness about domestic violence," Duvall added. "That sealed the deal."

Soon after, Justin Stagner, known as "Southern Grandpa" on TikTok, agreed to join the show, too. As the story goes, he owed Britany a favor; she recently drove to Alabama to be on his podcast.

Britany was also working on a skit with Amanda Meadows, better known as "Charlene Trailer Park Queen," at the time, so Smith asked her if she'd be interested, too. Meadows was all in!

"A few phone calls later, we lined up two fantastic local musicians, Cade Beecher and Ben Bates," Duvall said. "Both are making waves in the country music scene. These two will make it big one day, and we're excited to have them perform at our event. Come see them now, and be part of their journey to the top. Georgia knows how to make its country stars and comedians!"
