After postponing the seventh concert of the 2nd Annual Downtown Live Concert Series on August 8, 2024, due to Tropical Storm Debby, The City of Statesboro has rescheduled the concert to Thursday, August 22.
Downtown Live is scheduled from April through September with a total of eight concerts taking place on select Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. The concerts will be held on East Main Street in front of the Bulloch County Courthouse and are open to the public.
The City of Statesboro is grateful to the vendors and management company for The Fantasy Band, EastCoast Entertainment, for their willingness to postpone and reschedule the event for the safety of all involved.
Fantasy Band has been performing together for over 20 years, and the six-member band delights crowds with a mixture of beach music, Motown, funk, soul and R&B. Their setlist includes songs from a multitude of artists including Stevie Wonder, Prince and more recent artists like Bruno Mars and Meghan Trainor.
Grab your dancing shoes and lawn chair and join the fun in Downtown Statesboro this summer. Admission to the concerts is free and open to the public. Food trucks and vendors will open at 6:00 p.m. on the day of the event with several downtown restaurants also within walking distance of the concert stage.
Downtown Live is a family-friendly event for all ages. For more information, visit www.downtownlivestatesboro.com and follow the series on Facebook and Instagram.
The Downtown Live Statesboro Concert Series is presented by the City of Statesboro and Bulloch Solutions with the support of community partners including Visit Statesboro, the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority, and the Averitt Center for the Arts.
