Oh YES, here we go, DANCE THRU THE DECADES is gearing up for a GREAT night. This event is for the ‘Young at Heart,’ says Shannon (Shay) Paulk, Program Coordinator for DANCE THRU THE DECADES. NO age limitations from early Twenties to Centennials, ALL are WELCOME!!!
Shay said, “You don't want to miss this ‘Exciting and Worthy’ FUN night out in Statesboro!" It will be a night that you will all enjoy yourselves while BENEFITING a great cause. DANCING THRU THE DECADES will take place on August 12, 2023, from 7-10pm at the Statesboro Visitor’s Center Market Complex. The event will feature a dynamic and exciting performance by a local band, The Ripleys, who will play a little something for everyone: songs from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, that will be sure to have you Disco-ing, Popping, and Rocking all night long. You won't want to miss the delicious food, catering and drinks from Dolan's BBQ and the silent auction.
Tickets are NOW on sale online for $35 each. You can also purchase DIRECTLY from the Senior Companion Program at Georgia Southern University or in person from a Planning Committee Member. The EXCITEMENT is rising!! This week I spoke to a couple of people on the Planning Committee. Ginny Hendley, Media Chair, says, “COME OUT to Dance, Drink, and Dine for a FABULOUS cause. The party will be a celebration of life to support the Elderly or Senior Adults of the Georgia Southern University Gerontology Department. We are raising funds to support them.”
Nancy Wilson, Committee Chair said, “We are BLESSED by the people and businesses of Statesboro and Bulloch County, to have received so many generous donations ranging from $100 to $1,200. Here are several giftings: Quail Hunting with lunch valued at $1,200, 3-night stay at Mountain Creek valued at $600, Hunter Cattle Company $325 gift card value, a pair of lamps from L.A. Waters, a VINO 1910 $100 gift card, Oil Changes and Tire Rotation certificates, and much more."
