The Professional Women of Statesboro (PWS) held their first meeting of 2025 on Wednesday, January 15, setting the stage for an engaging year ahead. Members gathered to discuss topics, activities, and speakers they’d like to see throughout the year, along with welcoming the newly appointed 2025 Board:
- President Elena McLendon of Downtown Statesboro Development Authority
- Vice President Jessica Herrmann of Great GA Realty
- Programs Coordinator Rose McElveen of AgSouth Farm Credit
- Public Relations Coordinator Hayden LaTulip of Hall & Navarro
- Treasurer Victoria Newton of Statesboro Agency
- Past President Ann Hosler of Statesboro Agency
With a growing membership of 48 professionals, PWS is dedicated to fostering connections and professional growth. Plans for 2025 include dynamic speaker events, networking opportunities, and a professional development class day. One of the most anticipated events, the annual health panel, will also return this year.
The organization is built upon four core objectives:
- To promote a spirit of cooperation and understanding among members.
- To provide a strong network of professional contacts.
- To contribute to the mutual education and encouragement of members.
- To achieve recognition of the contribution of women to the community.
