Grice Connect has updated the COVID-19 dashboard to reflect the our communities current COVID-19 status. COVIDACTNOW.ORG has lowered Bulloch and Georgia's status to Medium Risk. The next status change hopefully will decrease Bulloch County to Low Risk.
However, our vaccination rates remain low compared with the rest of the state and nation. This places our community in a vulnerable place for potential spikes in cases. We will be following close for the next few weeks to see how Memorial Day gatherings effect us.
We have also moved from the CDC reporting of vaccine percentages from the CDC data to the COVIDACTNOW. ORG data. This will help keep the numbers sourced on similar trend lines.
If our risk increases again due to low vaccine rates and spikes or surge in COVID we will adjust the report and dashboard to reflect these changes.
Candler and Evans Counties risk level remains HIGH. For this reason we will continue including the COVIDACTNOW.ORG summaries in the daily report.

A special thanks to Dr. Frank Davis, M.D. F.A.C.S, a retired trauma surgeon who lives in Bulloch County. He has worked closely with the Grice Connect team to design the COVID-19 dashboard and provide brief interpretation of the data. You will be seeing and hearing more from Dr. Davis as an important member of the GC team. We will continue to update and adapt the data in this report to make it relevant. We have shifted our emphasis to vaccinations, while continuing to provide daily COVID impact.
