GataMania 7 is now in the books, and it was nothing short of jam-packed. The show kicked of with an emerald match at 5:45pm, and while the show started at 6pm, this match went ahead and set the tone for the evening.
JJ the Wrestling Engineer, one half of the APW Tag Team champions, was scheduled to defend the belts with a partner of his choosing against D.L. Rolf & Phil DeCarlo. He along with Nathaniel Vanderbilt lost both belts in a heated battle. After the match, JJ got in a heated debate with his partner, and was then attacked by APW World Champion Tim Humphrey.
The big theme for the night was "Women's Revolution." The first, third and fifth matches were headlined by women.
- JC Black beat the "Goth Mami" Ravyn
- Alicia Love pinned Rose Gold. After the match, Rose Gold felt as if she was cheated. So she attacked referee T-Beaux.
- Amber Nova beat Hyena Herra in the main event.
Other matches on the card included:
- Country Clay defeated Cooper, Rushy, and Abe Wheeler to win the money in the CORE Credit Union bag in a fatal 4-way match. With this bag, he is eligible for a world title match at the time of his choosing.
- Alex Kane and Brando Carlissian had a grueling match that went inside and outside of the ring. Whether it was a through-the-rope dive, or being attacked by a kid in the audience, the match inevitably ended after a suplex to the concrete floor, which resulted in a double-count out.
Halfway through the show, Cujo' the emcee (master of ceremony), special announcer of the night Travis Bilger with Eagle Radio and APW World Heavyweight Champion Tim Humphrey came to the ring to thank all of the sponsors of GataMania. However, Travis had already been getting on Cujo's nerves throughout the night, so he decided he had enough, and threw Travis through a door with his name on it!
If backstabbing wasn't already a theme of the night, Country Clay, friend of Humphrey, cashed in his CORE Credit Union bag and beat Humphrey to become the new APW World Heavyweight Champion.
All Premier Wrestling looks to come back to Statesboro on August 10, 2024 for FitnessMania at the N-Shape Fitness Center.
