Mobilize Recovery Across Georgia, a traveling bus tour, will cross the state of Georgia during National Recovery Month and will make a stop in Statesboro next week. The tour is in partnership with the Clinton Foundation and the Georgia Council for Recovery and is funded by Commissioner Kevin Tanner at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
More than 800,000 Georgians are living in long-term recovery from substance use disorder, and Mobilize Recovery Across Georgia will bring these Georgians together to celebrate recovery, educate individuals on recovery resources and harm reduction, and connect members of the community.
The bus tour will be coming to Georgia Southern University on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023. The event will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Sweetheart Circle. The Mobilize Recovery tour is partnering with local hosts Freedom Through Recovery: Susan Ford Recovery Community Organization and GSU’s Center for Addiction Recovery to provide live music, speakers, and free Dolan’s Bar B Que to attendees.
A parking map for the event is included above. Click here for more information, or call Freedom Through Recovery at 912-764-8283 for additional details.
