Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation’s (Georgia DOT) engineering partners are expected to perform work that may require intermittent, single lane closures along the US 17/SR 404 Spur (Talmadge) Bridge so crews can safely collect field data and perform bridge assessment surveys. The work being performed is part of the preconstruction services for the US 17/SR 404 Spur Bridge Major Maintenance Project (PI No. 0019219), which will replace the existing cables, bridge bearings, and joints as part of planned maintenance of the cable stayed bridge.
