The Georgia Police K9 Foundation recently announced that it has reached a total of 1 million followers across its social media platforms.
The organization's mission is to serve and protect both active and retired law enforcement K9s throughout the state of Georgia. They do so by regularly providing the equipment, training, and care necessary to ensure that police officers are well-equipped for the line of duty.
Through fundraising, marketing, and a nationwide system of supporters, the local foundation has found success in establishing a base of up to 1 million followers.
Annual fundraisers, such as Evening for the K9s (which Governor Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp attended this past June), and other efforts help the foundation regularly exceed its mission of providing support and assistance to K9s and police officers everywhere.

In a statement, a representative from the Foundation said, "We are excited to announce that our community has grown to over 1 million followers across all social media platforms! Your continuous support has helped our mission to new heights, allowing us to make significant impacts in the lives of our K9 heroes. Through social media, we've made amazing connections and awesome people worldwide, which helps raise awareness and support our cause. We are grateful for each and every one of you!"
