GALLERY | Boro Browse festivities welcomed students and brought crowds on campus

With hundreds of student attendees and more than one hundred vendors, the annual fall Boro Browse showcased local businesses and resources on the backdrop of the Russell Union Rotunda and Pedestrium in Statesboro.

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, The Office of Student Activities (OSA) hosted a packed-out Boro Browse on the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.

The event, which occurs every fall and spring, is a signature way to welcome students to the campus and community while introducing them to local restaurants, businesses, organizations, and shops. It is highly anticipated thanks to its emphasis on interactive games, giveaways, and fun activities all around--one year a local barber shop even offered free haircuts on-site.

From axe throwing to soccer with Tormenta's mascot, Bolt, $1 tacos, henna tattoo artists and tons of giveaways, this year's Boro Browse continued the tradition of out-of-the-box fun for students and vendors too.

"The Statesboro campus and community has tons of resources for students. Let us bring the city of Statesboro to you at our Boro Browse," OSA shared in their pre-event social media post, "Explore the many campus departments, community organizations, and businesses the local community has to offer."

"We had 130 vendors and approximately 300 student attendees," shared Memory Littles, Director of the Office of Student Activities.
