This April, the martial arts community is invited to participate in a unique training opportunity. Friends in the Arts 2024, happening from April 26th to 28th, promises an engaging weekend for martial arts practitioners. The event will feature a distinguished lineup of Grandmaster and Master instructors from a broad spectrum of martial arts disciplines.
Scheduled to be the largest martial arts gathering in Statesboro to date, this event will host over 27 Grandmasters and Masters, making it a significant occasion for anyone interested in martial arts. With the goal of developing the community for those involved in advanced martial arts, Statesboro Karate on Highway 80 is proud to be hosting the weekend-long seminar.
Owner and operator Clay Pierson shares, “I’m looking forward to getting together with others who share a passion in the martial arts and training together. Our hope is to empower you through our martial arts, genuinely encourage you, and make you safer.”
The gathering will cover a variety of martial arts styles, with representation from two Krav Maga organizations, the American Tang Soo Do Alliance, local Boro Martial Arts masters and grandmasters, Hogan Karate International, Okuden Circle from both USA and Europe, and others.
The event kicks off on Friday evening with keynote and breakout sessions that will focus on the theme of healing within martial arts practice. The following two days, Saturday and Sunday, will be filled with seminars that delve into advanced martial arts concepts and techniques such as Krav Maga concepts, Ju Jitsu, and joint locking. These sessions are designed for a wide range of participants, including children aged 10+ who are an intermediate rank or higher, as well as adults of all rank levels.
