Fordham’s Farmhouse is celebrating its 20-year anniversary on July 29th. Fordham’s has been a beloved staple in Statesboro, known for its homestyle cooking and welcoming atmosphere.
Since opening its doors in 2004, Fordham’s has been a cornerstone of the community, cherished by locals and students alike for its delicious meals, affordable options and warm hospitality.
Founded by Allen and Suzy Fordham, the restaurant was born from a dream to create a business that offered more than just food, but also a place where families and friends could gather over wholesome meals. Allen, who earned a degree in accounting but has always been drawn to entrepreneurship, saw an opportunity to acquire a local restaurant business. With the support of Suzy and their community, Fordham’s Farmhouse was born.
Of their journey over the past two decades, Suzy Fordham reflected, “We are incredibly proud to have reached this milestone. Our biggest accomplishment has been staying true to our roots and serving our community with meals that bring people together. From families looking for a healthier alternative to fast food to students craving a taste of home, we’ve been privileged to be a part of their lives.”
Over the years, Fordham’s has not only provided a menu of freshly made meats and sides but has also created a gathering place where patrons from all walks of life can enjoy a meal together.
“We’ve had customers who grew up coming here who are now bringing their own children,” Fordham added. “It’s truly heartwarming to see generations connect over our food.”
Despite challenges, including preserving hardships posed by the COVD-19 pandemic, Fordham’s Farmhouse has persevered, thanks in large part to its loyal customer base.
“Our local community has been our rock,” Fordham noted. “Their support, especially during tough times, has been invaluable. They’ve shown up for us, spreading the word and keeping us going.”
Looking forward, Fordham’s Farmhouse remains committed to serving Statesboro with the same dedication and passion that has defined them for the past 20 years.
“We’re excited for what the future holds,” said Fordham. “As we continue to adapt and grow, our focus remains on providing quality meals and a welcoming environment for everyone that walks through our doors.”
