Don’t let the winter chills keep you indoors! The Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern invites you to a unique, cozy event designed to warm up your winter – an exciting gathering held in the serene winter landscape of our beautiful garden on Friday, February 7th from 5:30 – 8:30pm at the Garden Heritage Pavilion.
This exciting outdoor gathering is a perfect blend of nature, community, and delectable seafood, making it a must-attend event as an enjoyable evening under the stars filled with fun and festivities.
Guests can enjoy fresh oysters served hot off the grill, paired with chili (meat and vegetarian), etouffee, cornbread, dessert, live music by Tall Paul, warming drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by the stunning winter beauty of the garden.
“We want to create an experience that lets people embrace the garden in the winter in a way that’s fun, social, and a little indulgent, as there is something of interest in all seasons at the garden – especially in the evening hours with the glow of landscaping lighting casting shadows down on the silhouettes of our plants," Todd Beasley, Director, shared.
Tickets for the event are now available at early bird pricing of $50 per person. Hurry to purchase as tickets will increase to $55 the week of January 27 and $60 on February 3rd – the week leading up to the event.
The Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University is located in the heart of Statesboro, Georgia, at 1503 Bland Avenue.
