Brooklet Peanut Festival's Chair Officer, Ellen Perkins, says the planning committee is excited to welcome the festival back this year.
"We are very excited for our 34th Annual Peanut Festival," she said. "We expect to have great weather on September 16th, with an anticipated high of 83 degrees. We are getting our parade lined up, which will also be live streamed on WTOC."
As usual, the day will feature a wide variety of food, entertainment, and shopping opportunities.
"As we do with each annual Peanut Festival, we are staying true to our arts and crafts, and have more food vendors this year," Perkins added. "There will be boiled peanuts, parched peanuts, fried peanuts, fun rides, and different features for the kids. We have free entertainment on the stage all day with the Third Infantry Band, local high school bands, and The High Mileage Band performing from 6pm to festival close."
This is a free festival with no gate fee, and $5 parking will be available near the festival on Railroad Street. Free shuttles driven by volunteers will also be available to take you back to the parking location.
"We appreciate all of our wonderful sponsors, our hardworking team of less than 20 people, and the community support we receive each year for the festival," Perkins said.
