The City of Brooklet will hold a swearing in ceremony for Mayor Elect Nicky Gwinnett and Councilman Elect Keith Roughton on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 6 PM. The ceremony will be held at Brooklet City Hall, 104 Church Street, Brooklet, GA.
Brooklet City Judge Joey Cowart will administer the Oath of Office to Mayor Gwinnett and Councilman Roughton.
Gwinnett ran unopposed when incumbent Mayor Joe Groomes chose not to seek re-election.
Roughton defeated Seth Cannon and Melanie Garcia to win the Council Post 1 seat on November 7, 2023.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
