Bulloch County is under a flash flood watch according to the NWS. Bands of showers and a few thunderstorms will periodically move through Bulloch County area today into tonight across southern South Carolina and southeast Georgia.
As much as 2 to 3 inches of rain is expected to occur, but locally higher amounts are likely as Tropical Cyclone Claudette passes through parts of the Southeast United States.
With rainfall amounts well above normal so far this month, the additional rainfall could result in the risk for flash flooding.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
Be prepared to protect life and property, especially in areas prone to flooding. If flooding develops, move to higher ground immediately. If driving, be prepared for flooded roadways and possible road closures.
Severe Thunderstorms Possible
Scattered thunderstorms are possible through tonight. Conditions could become favorable for isolated damaging wind gusts or brief tornadoes.
