Southeast Bulloch High girls trio wins state literary title

Southeast Bulloch High School’s Girls Trio clinched the state title, leading their school’s Literary Team to a top-four finish at the GHSA Class AAA competition.

Southeast Bulloch High School's Girls Trio has won the state literary title, helping their school’s Literary Team earn a top-four finish at the Georgia High School Association’s Class AAA competition.

After winning the Region 3-AAA Literary title earlier this month, the SEBHS Literary Team advanced to the state competition, held at Bremen High School on March 22.

The team competed in six events: Girls Solo, Boys Solo, Girls Trio, Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, and Duo Interpretation. The team placed in the top four in four of those events:

  • First Place, Girls Trio – Ruth Rowell, Faith Collins, Hope Collins
  • Third Place, Boys Solo – Nick Gapac
  • Second Place, Dramatic Interpretation – Geonna Lawrence
  • Fourth Place, Duo Interpretation – Logan Major and Ella Rodriguez

The SEBHS Literary Team is coached by Katie Jones, the school's English language arts and drama teacher, and Brent Whitaker, the director of choral activities.
