Christmas in Brooklet, GA is a very special moment for many in this community. The Brooklet Kiwanis Club reminded the community what a special place Brooklet is during their annual Christmas Eve (EVE) breakfast.

The Brooklet Kiwanis Club hosted their annual Christmas Eve (EVE) breakfast Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Brooklet United Methodist Church.

The breakfast brings the community together for great food, fellowship and to raise funds to help the club provide Christmas gifts to Brooklet area families.  This years breakfast raised over $1,200.

Brooklet Kiwanian Stevie Stringer served as the MC for the program.   Trish Tootle, Kiwanis Lt. Governor opened the program thanking the club members for all the incredible work they do in the Brooklet community.

Cliff Proctor, John Frazier and Jennifer Gerrald performed several Christmas songs.  Cliff Proctor ended with a crowd favorite which is his rendition of Christmas In Brooklet taken from Alabama's Christmas in Dixie.

Cliff remembered two faithful Brooklet Kiwanis members who have died this past year and sent out thoughts and prayers to their families who will be missing them this Christmas:

  • Nat Harwell - who was the incoming Club President
  • Larry Jones -  dedicated club member and chief grits cooker

Milton Williams, Kiwanis Club President introduced Tony Pagliarullo, Old Fellowship Baptist Church Pastor as the speaker.

Pagliarullo took his message from Luke 10.  He used the story of Martha and Mary's visit with Jesus as a reminder to each of us to slow down during this busy season and remember that what really matters is taking time to sit at the feet of Jesus.

"We all must make time to sit at the feet of Jesus," said Pastor Pagliarullo.  "My hope and my prayer for you is that you will not be a worrier but a worshiper this and every Christmas."
