The Kiwanis-Ogeechee Fair Grounds buzzed with excitement last Saturday, March 22nd, as the Southern Cruisers Car Show drew a crowd of over 1,320 attendees and 148 registered show cars.

The event raised funds for two local children facing serious health challenges.

The Southern Cruisers, a Statesboro-based 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian charity, organizes car shows to support seriously ill children and adults in Bulloch and surrounding counties.

This particular show aimed to assist Amdyn “Scottie” Aldrich, who battles Truncus Arteriosus (TA), a congenital heart defect requiring multiple surgeries, and four-year-old Sydney Walker, who is fighting Leukemia.

The show featured a stunning array of vehicles, including dune buggies, muscle cars, antiques, sports cars, project cars, and motorcycles, with eight member cars on display.

Attendees enjoyed a nostalgic journey through automotive history, reminiscing about the days when cars defined personal style and evoked cherished memories.

The day was filled with entertainment, including a DJ set by Randy Beasley, raffles for a kid’s ATV and a mountain getaway, door prizes, and a 50/50 cash drawing.

The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, which presented trophies for the 30 Best Specialty vehicles and the Top 40 vehicles of the show, culminating in the prestigious Best of Show award.
