Planning your next move in chess can be pretty hunger-inducing, which is why there’s no better time to play the game than at the Statesboro-Bulloch County Library’s monthly Chess & Pizza night. This event is made possible thanks to a partnership between the library and Holiday Pizza and offers a fun experience for chess players of all ages.
“We get families; we have 6 to 8-year-olds coming to play; we have adults, teenagers, and they’re all covered,” Library Assistant Manager Cindy Hatchell said.
Chess & Pizza is hosted on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6pm at Holiday Pizza, which is located at 406 Fair Rd., #10, near the Honey Bowen Building. A Community & Chess gathering is also hosted on the fourth Monday of every month at 5pm at the library.
The next chess nights will be hosted on the 23rd of January at the Bulloch County Library and on the 25th at Holiday Pizza.
