Thousands gathered in Brooklet, Georgia, to celebrate the 35th annual Brooklet Peanut Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2024. This cherished event highlights the town's tight-knit community, agricultural heritage, and family values, with peanuts taking center stage.
The festivities began at 10:00 AM with a vibrant parade featuring local dignitaries, beauty queens, businesses, marching bands, and tractors.
The parade was live-streamed on Grice Connect, with DeWayne Grice, founder and publisher of Grice Connect, and Ellen Perkins from the Brooklet Peanut Festival co-hosting the event’s television coverage.
After the parade, attendees moved a few blocks from downtown to the festival grounds, which were bustling with vendors, live music, food, carnival rides, and a variety of peanut offerings.
Embracing Brooklet and Bulloch County’s agricultural roots, the festival featured highly anticipated events like the kids’ pedal tractor races and the slow tractor races, both of which were crowd pleasers.
