At Grice Connect, our mission has always been to celebrate the positive and uplifting stories that define our community. This commitment to focusing on what is right led us to create the Grice Good initiative, a kindness project that shines a light on the remarkable individuals and teams who embody compassion, patience, and community spirit in Bulloch County.
This week, we are thrilled to present a Grice Good to Bulloch County Election Supervisor Shontay Jones and her dedicated team of over 30 poll workers. Together, they have overseen record-breaking numbers of early voters with efficiency, grace, and tireless dedication. Their collective effort will extend through Election Day, November 5, 2024, with even more team members joining the ranks to ensure a smooth voting experience for all.
Many on Shontay’s team are retirees, volunteering their time and energy in service to our community. Despite long hours and the demands of their roles, they consistently bring patience, professionalism, and a commitment to civic duty that is nothing short of inspiring.
To thank them for their hard work, Grice Connect supporter and internet famous Robert Lucas and his Sweet Impact bakery, located at 602 Brannen Street, Suite 1 in Statesboro, partnered with us to provide each poll worker with a delicious cupcake, offering a “little sweetness for a lot of sweetness” to these extraordinary public servants.
If you know someone who deserves a Grice Good award for their acts of kindness and commitment to our community, reach out to us! Message us on social media or email info@griceconnect.com.
Together, let’s keep celebrating the best of our community, one Grice Good story at a time.
