Senior line dancers from the Bulloch Recreation and Parks Department's Adults 50+ program performed during halftime at the Georgia Southern basketball games on December 29.

These ladies gather together for line dancing classes weekly. Regina Days- Bryan, who teaches the classes, states that most of the senior line dancers dance for fun. But for some, it's much more than that.

“The dancers dance for fun, but a few of them have said it has saved their lives. Many have lost a spouse, and this gives them an outlet.”

Days-Bryan is also a Georgia Southern Hall of Famer and was even Honorary Coach of the basketball game on New Year's Eve. This made the performance opportunity extra special for her.

“I love these ladies, I should say dancers. Line dancing has given me a whole new way to entertain at Georgia Southern.”

During their halftime performance, 12 senior line dancers danced to the popular song Pretty Young Thing by Michael Jackson. All dancers were dressed in their Georgia Southern colors.
