The Statesboro Police Department is hosting a free community event to celebrate National Night Out. This event will be Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Statesboro Police Department (SPD) Headquarters, 25 West Grady Street. Families are invited out to enjoy a wide variety of activities.

There will be a water balloon fight between the Statesboro Police Department and Statesboro Fire Department, a dunk tank for kids to dunk a police officer or firefighter, a meet and greet with our K9 teams, vehicles on display for a touch-a-truck display, and even more! Free hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and snow cones will also be available.

Come out and celebrate!

National night out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood companionship to make our neighborhoods safer places to live.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
