"Manufacturing Music, 140 years of Gretsch Legacy" exhibit at Visit Statesboro, 222 South Main Street, is a collaboration between the Statesboro Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Georgia Southern Museum and the Georgia Southern Department of History.

Gretsch Legacy

This exhibit provides another terrific attraction for visitors to Statesboro.

Gretsch legacy

The Gretsch legacy exhibit includes images of major artists who used Gretsch instruments over the years. There are also incredible artifacts and records from the Gretsch company along with extraordinary pieces of artwork in addition to a wide collection of musical instruments.

Gretsch Legacy

With the unique partnership with Visit Statesboro GS students get to work with amazing collections and develop actual exhibits. They got to research, develop, fabricate and build an actual exhibit.

Below is a video in which Dr. Tharpe discusses the exhibit and allows each student who worked on the project explain their individual GS thesis projects.

The Gretsch exhibit will be in place through April, 2023.
