Local entrepreneurs AJ Jetwani and Michael Blackmon are collaborating with Downtown Statesboro to host the inaugural BoroFest in downtown Statesboro on Friday, July 15, from 5-10 p.m.

This summer, Statesboro residents can look forward to a new and exciting summer block party. BoroFest will provide a night that all members of the community can enjoy. Local restaurants Tandoor & Tap, Vandy’s BBQ, Eagle Creek Brewery, and Vino 1910 will host live music along Vine Street, featuring several bands. Attendees can purchase food and drinks, including featured beers, cocktail specials, and wine from the restaurants along the street. Several pop-up shops will be present, offering clothing, sweet treats and more.

Parents can look forward to a night of fun for the whole family. They can bring their children for a Kid’s Zone with bouncy houses or take a shot at the dunk tank. There will also be a cornhole tournament under the oaks. The games will take place behind Tandoor & Tap with exciting prizes for the winners (sign-ups coming soon).

A portion of the proceeds from BoroFest will go to the Averitt Center for the Arts. This event is possible thanks to the support of local vendors and sponsors.
