Bulloch Ag-Grow Expo Brings Fun For Everyone Continues Saturday

The opening day of the inaugural Ag-Grow Expo at the Bulloch Agricultural Complex has been a big hit to all who attended including students from Claxton and Metter schools.

The opening day of the inaugural Ag-Grow Expo at the Bulloch Agricultural Complex has been a big hit to all who attended including students from Claxton and Metter schools.

The Expo has brought Educational Vendors, Equipment Vendors, Food Vendors, a farmers market, a community stage, and even inflatables to the Ag Complex. This event is free and open to public.

Gates close on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 7 pm, educational vendors are teaching all about this community’s core agriculture products. A few of the educational vendors that is at the expo include the Georgia Cotton Commission, the Bulloch County Farm Services Agency, Ogeechee Technical College, Excelsior EMC, and more. There are also vendors demonstrating different types of equipment that is used in the agriculture industry locally. In addition to these vendors, there are be food vendors, a farmers market, and inflatables for the kids to have a little more fun!

On Saturday, April 2, from 10am until 5 pm, the educational, equipment, and food vendors return, along with the farmers market. There will be a couple of small livestock demonstrations beginning at 10 am with chickens, a dwarf Nubian goat, and a few cows. The community stage will be jumping all day long with singers and dancers! The inflatables will also be available for the kids on Saturday as well.

“The Ag-Grow Expo is the first-ever at the Ag Complex,” says Recreation Director Eddie Canon. “We wanted to host an event that would allow all citizens to see and learn all about agriculture that we have right here in Bulloch County.”

The event is sponsored by AgSouth Farm Credit, Crumpler Plastic Pipe, Bulloch County Farm Bureau and the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro. “We could not host this event without our sponsors and we are grateful that they know that this will be a worthwhile event for our citizens,” says Canon.
