Shopping by Lantern Light, one of Statesboro’s most beloved festivals, will take place November 23rd from 6pm to 8pm in the Synovus Bank parking lot downtown.
2021 marks the return of this popular event and there will be over 65 vendors to help you kick off the holiday season.
Community food favorites Eagle Creek Brewing Company and 4 & 20 Bakers will be on hand for those who want to dine downtown during the festivities.
“This will be our biggest Lantern Light event ever! We have everything for last minute Thanksgiving preparation – fresh whole foods for cooking, delicious ready-made desserts, holiday decorations and great gifts to take along for your host,” said Statesboro Main Street Farmers Market Manager, Relinda Walker. “The vendors are very excited and hoping to see lots of holiday shoppers.”
Shopping by Lantern Light began over a decade ago and marks the final Statesboro Main Street Farmers Market of the season which generally runs April through November. It’s pet friendly and admission and parking are free.
“We partner with various organizations on numerous events and Shopping by Lantern Light is one of many that isn’t just for locals,” said Visit Statesboro Executive Director, Becky Davis. “We send a list of events to Statesboro’s hotel managers every week so their staff can share this information with guests and this festival is a great time to showcase our beautiful downtown to tourists.”
