The Kiwanis Fair will open on Monday, October 18 and run through Saturday, October 23, 2021. Children aged 5 and under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

After a cancellation in 2020, the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro is looking forward to providing family fun for Bulloch and surrounding counties.

Fair Chairman Danny Beall said, “The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair in Statesboro is super excited to be open this year for kids from 0 to 100!”

The fair will be hosted at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds in Statesboro. 16942 GA Highway 67, Statesboro, GA 30458.

New this year Online Admission Ticket Option

One great new feature the Kiwanis has added this year that increases safety, enhances convenience by not having to wait in long lines to get into the fair and saves you money, is the ability to purchase your admission ticket before arriving on the fair grounds.

Advanced Admission Tickets can be purchased by clicking here or by going to the Buy Tickets link on the fair’s website, www.kiwanisogeecheefair.org. When you purchase the ticket you will have an option to print a paper ticket or you can download the ticket electronically to your phone. When you arrive at the fair, you can go directly to the gate and bypass the line to purchase admission tickets.

Advanced tickets are only $8 while admission tickets at the gate will cost $10.

Your safety and volunteer safety is important

In addition to the the online admission the Kiwanis Club will be looking at other innovative ways to help make the fair safer this year.

The club will be providing sanitation stations throughout the fairgrounds and extra precautionary measures will be taken in hopes to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

While masks will not be required, they are encouraged for the safety of all fair-goers as well as the volunteers who work tirelessly to put on the annual six-day event.

“We know the past year and a half has been extremely difficult and we hope the fair, being an outdoor event, will be a way for us to safely come together." said John Banter, President, Kiwanis Club. "Along with all the fun, the Statesboro Kiwanis Club is able to support numerous local charitable organizations and projects focused on supporting children by giving back the proceeds from the fair each year. That is the reason we work so hard to hold a great fair.”

Kiwanis Fair Parade

The fair will kick off on Monday, October 18, with its annual Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair Parade in downtown Statesboro starting at 5 p.m.

Organizations and businesses can apply to be a part of the fair parade at www.kiwanisogeecheefair.org/parade at any time between now and noon on Wednesday, October 13.

Community competitions returning

Individuals interested in participating in competitions such as arts and crafts, canning and baking or other categories can visit the Kiwanis Fair website and look for the rules regarding those events and register to compete by utilizing the Fair Entry Registration link. This includes any livestock show participants.

Longer hours = MORE FUN

With the excitement surrounding the return of the fair, the Kiwanis Club’s Fair Committee determined that longer operating hours would allow more people the opportunity to enjoy the Fair.

  • Starting this year, the fair will open each afternoon at 4 PM and remain open until midnight with the ticket selling windows closing at 10 PM.
  • Monday’s opening time will be 6 PM due to the parade and Saturday’s opening time will be 12 Noon.
  • Friday night will remain Moonlight Madness and the fair will remain open until 1 AM.

Once again there will be wristbands available for purchase each night that provides unlimited rides.
