"Shine Like Kathryn" is a kindness event on Sunday, July 18th honoring Kathryn Mullins on the one year anniversary of her sudden death. Kathryn was a 20 year old Georgia Southern student and native of Lawrenceville, Georgia who died in a boating accident in Columbia, S.C. on July 18, 2020.

Kathryn's family has chosen to declare July 18, "Shine Like Kathryn Day."

Kathryn radiated the love of Jesus and so intentionally and contagiously greeted everyone she met with sincere kindness.

In an effort to honor her legacy they invite you to join them in spreading joy through random acts of kindness on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

They ask that you tag Shine Like Kathryn on Facebook and Instagram and use the hashtag #ShineLikeKathryn to inspire others and allow her family to see the impact their sweet Kathryn continues to have on others.

Kathryn was such a gifted young lady who had a heart for people and loved Jesus and the arts.

She was active in the Georgia Southern Community and Connection and Compassion Churches, college outreach programs.

Many Grice Connect followers responded to a story I wrote about my daughter, Edie Grace Grice's sticker project to honor Kathryn. Lot's of you were very generous in supporting this project Edie finished for Kathryn in her honor. Edie and Kathryn were friends at GS.

“I miss the sunshine that Kathryn Mullins was so much. I’m excited to spend Sunday, July 18th celebrating all the joy that Kathryn brought into my life with her sweet friendship and by living the way that Kathryn lived everyday. I hope you will all join me and my family in honoring Kathryn on Sunday,“ said Edie Grace Grice

Edie's V for Vaccine - Victory Over COVID project, that so many of you have and continue to support, was also inspired by Kathryn. Through these two projects, tens of thousands of people throughout the world have learned about Kathryn and the shining light she was.

Please join Edie and our family in honoring this beautiful family and incredibly special young lady by performing random acts of kindness on Sunday, July 18, 2021 and tagging their family.
