Vets Fundraiser

For the past seven years local veterans, bikers and community volunteers come together to hold the Jesse Hinton Memorial Veterans Homeless Ride fundraiser.  The fundraiser is hosted by the U.S. Military Vets MC and coordinated in part by Mr. Hinton’s granddaughter Tiffany Deal.

Because of COVID-19, they are not doing the ride but instead have decided to host a drive-in drop off for donations.

Jesse Hinton had a huge heart for homeless Veterans and began this effort to do all that he could to help them.  His family and friends have continued to coordinate this annual event.

Saturday, September 12th, 8 am to 12 noon

The donations drop off will be in the parking lot behind Citizens Bank and beside Franklin Toyota at 500 Commerce Drive in Statesboro on Saturday, September 12th from 8 am to 12 noon.

Volunteers will be following COVID-19 safety precaution and will unload your donations from your vehicle so you will not have to have contact with anyone.

Items needed are:

  • Camping gear-Non-perishable foods & drinks
  • Personal hygiene items

  • They CANNOT accept any clothing items at this time.
