A limited emergency food drop will take place at Pittman Park United Methodist Church (UMC) on Monday, September 30, 2024, starting at 1:00 p.m. The church is located at 1102 Fair Road in Statesboro, GA.

This food distribution is made possible by Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia and Feed the Boro, and is hosted by Pittman Park UMC and Bulloch County VOAD.

Available items include ready-to-eat food, canned chicken, and water. Due to the limited supply, organizers ask that only those who have no other food options attend. The goal is to reach as many families as possible given the great need.

An enhanced food drop is planned for Saturday, October 5, at Statesboro High School from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., courtesy of Feed the Boro and Second Harvest.

Additional Services at Pittman Park UMC:

  • Ice Distribution: A limited supply of ice will be available later today, with priority given to those with medical needs, such as medications requiring refrigeration. Please bring your own cooler.
  • Showers & Charging Stations: From 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the church will offer showers and recharge stations. Water refill stations will also be available, but you must bring your own containers.
  • Hot Meal: A hot meal will be served at the church beginning at 5:00 p.m., while supplies last.
