Georgia Living Management recently broke ground on The Cottages at Willow Pond. The independent living Cottages at Willow Pond will be located on the campus of Willow Pond Senior Care and will serve age 62+ senior adults with ‘maintenance-free’ living.
Project construction will include three phases. Phase I will include 13 cottages, Phase II will include 11 cottages, and the final Phase III will include 8 cottages, for a total of 32 cottages. Leasing for cottages is open and available for summer 2024 move-in.
The single-story cottages will be 1200 square feet each with 2-bed/2-bath floor plans that will include screened porches, attic space, and appliances. Monthly amenities include maintenance, landscaping, pest control, utilities including wi-fi, a daily meal with option of up to 3-daily meals, weekly housekeeping service, trash service, and an emergency call system.
The campus will have a water front community center called The Pond House for a socialized dining experience, events, private occasions, and a Wellness Center.
Independent living is a great alternative to living at home without the maintenance and upkeep required, while providing quality of life with social and recreational activities and an active lifestyle option with the security of staff on-site.
"The cottages at Willow Pond are going to be a great addition to the services and care that Willow Pond has been known for for over 25 years in Statesboro. Adding an independent living component gives another layer of services. If you are a senior adult in this area and you are looking for a maintenance free lifestyle, The Cottages at Willow Pond is where you are going to want to live,” said Chandler Dennard, Director of Operations, Georgia Living Management.
The construction for The Cottages at Willow Pond includes local partners such as DPR Architecture, St. Andrews Builders, and Ellis Wood Contracting, Inc. To follow the progress, please follow us on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/thecottagesatwillowpond.
