A new Pop Up Park is rolling into town thanks to Bulloch Rec. You may have already spotted it around town during its visits to the AgGrow Expo and First Friday downtown. The park is the result of a grant BCRP received from the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association and will be popping up at lots of community events to come.
“After experiencing the Athens Pop Up Park at the GRPA Conference, I began to envision how we could bring that to Bulloch County,” Joy Deal, Community Recreation Division Manager at BCRP, who applied for the grant, said. “We hope it will meet a great need in our community for fun, engaging activities for all ages.”
The Pop Up Park allows BCRP to get out into the community and showcase its commitment to recreation for all ages at community and school events county-wide.
And if you’re looking for a creative birthday party idea or entertainment for an upcoming summer event, the new Pop Up Park may be the perfect option. It is now available for rent for corporate events, birthday parties, family reunions, and more.
The BCRP bus will arrive at your event filled with fun activities for kids (and fun-loving adults!) and stay for two hours. The park includes activities like coloring, bubbles, interactive games, music for dancing, and more.
You will also have a rec staff member on-hand for the entire two hours. The staff member is responsible for monitoring games and activities, as well as the set up and clean up of the activities. (They do not lead games or provide supervision for children.)
