Ecoplastic America is excited to announce the appointment of Amanda See as the company’s new Human Resources Director. Born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia, and Tattnall County, Georgia, Amanda brings a unique blend of local roots and professional expertise to her new role, where she aims to help build the foundation for Ecoplastic’s first US-based manufacturing plant.

Amanda joins Ecoplastic America with more than twenty years of experience in human resources, including significant HR roles at leading area organizations. She holds an MBA from Georgia Southern University and is a certified SHRM-CP professional, equipping her with a robust understanding of strategic HR management.

Amanda is particularly excited about the opportunity to develop the new manufacturing plant from the ground up. “There’s never a dull moment in this work,” she said. See added that she loves the idea of having a hand in establishing the structure necessary for success and creating a workplace where employees feel valued and engaged.

Ecoplastic hiring priorities

Right now, See says Ecoplastic is transitioning to hiring primarily managerial and salaried positions, which can be found on their hiring website here, though they will continue to hire for entry-level roles as needed to maintain their workforce. “We are looking for candidates with experiences in EHS, HRIS, management and quality control, specifically,” she shared. “We just hit 200 employees last week,” See explained, saying they are ready to shift their gears toward hiring for additional types of roles.

As she steps into her position, Amanda looks forward to collaborating with the team at Ecoplastic America. “I look forward to bringing my years of experience to the Ecoplastic team,” she shared.

See has a daughter who is a senior at Georgia Southern University studying Biology, and a son who owns a business in Tattnall County. She is married to Jason See.

First product rollout

See believes that the new building near Register will be completed, and staff will be fully based there, by the end of the year, but parts of the plant are already fully operational.

In recent weeks, Ecoplastic staff celebrated the successful production of their first manufacturing product—a front bumper—which went to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). As Ecoplastic continues to establish its first US-based operation as a Tier-One supplier, this first product represents a significant milestone.
