DUBLIN — The Statesboro Lady Devils traveled to Dublin on Saturday to compete in the Mid Georgia Tennis Tournament. The Devils played 4 teams on Saturday that all won their region last year while one made the elite 8, two made the final four and one won the state championship in their respective classes.
How It Happened
- The Lady Devils started the day with a 5-0 victory over Bleckley County where Ada Lacienski had a great match at singles while Lindsay Collins and Annalia Small played fantastic at doubles.
- The girls then took down Telfair with a 4-1 victory while Naomie Feltman and Anna Washington played outstanding tennis.
- The Lady Devils took out West Laurens 4-1 while Jolee Jordan and Maggie Proctor played tremendously at doubles.
- The Lady Blue Devils lost a close 2-3 matchup to First Presbyterian Day School in the championship.
- Jolee Jordan went 4-0 on the day to run her record to 7-1 on the season and win her 50th career match.
