Applications for the Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame are open until August 2, 2024, for fall induction.
In 1985, Coach Steve Brooks and Coach Clark Collins introduced the idea of a Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame, which would honor and recognize outstanding athletes who had graduated from Statesboro High School, Marvin Pittman, or William James.
In addition, individuals who directly influenced student athletes would be honored. In 1988, nine individuals were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Since then, 92 individuals have received this honor. The next induction will occur during the fall of 2024.
In order to become a member of the Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame, one must meet the following criteria:
- Be a graduate of Statesboro High School, William James High School, or Marvin Pittman
- Be an alumnus from one of these institutions for at least fifteen years
In order to be inducted as an honorary member of the Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame, one must meet the following criteria:
- Be an individual who has directly influenced student athletes by impacting their athletic and educational development.
