Portal sends 24 athletes to GHSA Class A Divison 2 State Championships

Portal hopes to bring back another state championship to the school.

The Portal Panthers traveled to Mt. Zion High for the GHSA 1A Division 2 State Sectionals. With the results, the Panthers are sending 24 athletes to compete in the GHSA 1A State Championships this year.

Hunter Martin is looking to win his third, back-to-back-to-back State Championship. Because he is participating in the GHSA State Adaptive Track Meet, he will be racing at Carrollton High School. If you would like to watch Martin race, you can tune into the NFHS Network here.

These athletes will be traveling to East Jackson High School for the GHSA A Division 2 State Championships. These State Championships will be held May 9-11, 2024.
