GS Women's Basketball announces 2024-25 non-conference schedule

The Eagles have finalized their schedule for head coach Hana Haden's first season at the helm.

Georgia Southern women's basketball has announced its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign, which consists of seven games and two tournaments before Sun Belt conference play begins.

As previously announced, the Eagles will open up the 2024-25 season at Ohio on Monday, November 4 as a part of the MAC/SBC Challenge. Georgia Southern will then travel to Jacksonville to take on the University of North Florida on Saturday, November 9.

The first home game for 2024-25 will pit the Eagles against Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday, November 12, scheduled to be played at Hanner Fieldhouse at 6 p.m. Georgia Southern will then host Longwood on Saturday, November 16, also tentatively scheduled at Hanner, followed by an away contest at George Washington on Monday, November 23.

The first tournament action for the Eagles will be over the Thanksgiving holidays as Georgia Southern travels to Rutgers to take part in the Battle On The Banks tournament in Piscataway, N.J. The Eagles face Maryland-Eastern Shore on Friday, November 29, then host Rutgers on Saturday, November 30.

December begins with the first scheduled contest for women's basketball at the new Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center on Thursday, December 5, at 6 p.m. against Jacksonville University. Following that will be the annual Kids Field Trip Day game on Friday, December 13, at 11 a.m. against Coastal Georgia, also scheduled to be at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center.

The final non-conference tournament for the Eagles will be a three-game event at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., from Wednesday, December 18 through Saturday, December 21. The Eagles will take on Wright State, Florida Atlantic and host Grand Canyon during the tournament.

The final non-conference game will be on Saturday, February 1, as the second leg of the MAC/SBC Challenge. The Eagles will host a MAC opponent to be determined at 1 p.m. on that day.
