The Georgia Southern Athletics Department and the Sun Belt Conference announced Friday the Eagles' 2025 football schedule and promotions schedule. It is a slate that features five home Saturday games, a pair of nationally-televised Thursday night games and three new opponents.
The Eagles will open the 2025 season with their four non-conference games, as they did the previous three years. They start on the road on Aug. 30, traveling to California to take on Fresno State in the first matchup between the two schools. The squad then stays out west to face USC on Sept. 6 in Los Angeles. The Eagles open play at Allen E. Paulson Stadium/Evans Family Field on Sept. 13 against Jacksonville State before hosting Maine of the FCS on Sept. 20 to wrap up the non-conference slate.
Georgia Southern opens up Sun Belt play with a Sept. 27 road game at James Madison to end the month and then has its first bye the weekend of Oct. 4.
October action begins with a Thursday night home game in Paulson Stadium against Southern Miss on Oct. 9. It will mark the first meeting between the Eagles and Golden Eagles in football. The rest of the month includes a home game against Georgia State on Oct. 18, which will be Homecoming, and a road game at Arkansas State on Oct. 25.
The final month of the regular season starts with a bye and then a Thursday night road game at App State on Nov. 6, followed by a home game against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 15. Senior Day will be on Nov. 15 against Old Dominion and the team will travel to Huntington, West Virginia, to take on Marshall on Nov. 29 for the regular season finale.
The Sun Belt Conference Championship Game, which features the East and West Divisions winners, will be played at a campus site on Dec. 6.
Season ticket holders only have a few weeks to renew their season tickets and/or parking before the March 31 renewal deadline. Renewals must be paid in full or set up on a payment plan by the renewal deadline, or they will be released to the general public.

They can also stop by the Ticket Office at 203 Lanier Drive. Season ticket packages start as low as $97/each for all six home games this season. Times and broadcast information for all 12 games will be announced at a later date. Due to broadcast rights with the league's television partners, dates and times are subject to change up to 12 days before kickoff.
